About the Role
We are growing quickly, and an opportunity has opened on our Sales team for a Business Development Representative (BDR). As our BDR, you will play a critical role in generating new business opportunities by identifying, researching, and engaging prospective clients across Latin America.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career sales professional looking to develop their skills in B2B SaaS and fintech sales. You'll work closely with our Account Executives to build a healthy sales pipeline while learning our products, industry, and consultative sales process. The ideal candidate is proactive, curious, resilient, and excited by the challenge of opening doors with new prospects. Since this role supports clients across Latin America, fluency in both written and spoken English and Spanish is required.
Responsibilities
Identify and research prospective clients across fintech, financial services, brokerages, and digital asset businesses throughout Latin America.
Execute outbound prospecting through email, LinkedIn, phone calls, and other sales engagement channels.
Qualify inbound and outbound leads to identify potential business opportunities.
Schedule discovery meetings and product demonstrations for the Account Executive team.
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects using CRM tools.
Develop a strong understanding of Shift Markets' white-label exchange technology and effectively communicate its value proposition.Collaborate closely with Account Executives and Sales Leadership to ensure smooth lead handoff and pipeline progression.
Maintain accurate records of prospecting activity and customer interactions within the CRM.
Continuously learn about the digital asset, fintech, and SaaS industries to better engage prospective clients.
Represent Shift Markets professionally across all customer interactions and, when applicable, at virtual or in-person industry events.
Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish (required).
Must be based in Latin America.
2–4 years of experience in business development, sales development, inside sales, customer-facing roles, or other B2B sales environments.
Industry experience in SaaS, fintech, financial services, or digital assets is preferred but not required.
Strong interest in technology, fintech, and digital assets, with a willingness to learn quickly.
Highly motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging new prospects.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a remote global team.
Experience using CRM platforms is a plus.
Openness to using AI and modern sales tools (e.g. ChatGPT) to improve productivity, prospect research, and outreach.
Preferred / Nice to Have
Experience working in a remote environment.
Exposure to B2B SaaS sales or lead generation.
Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Zoho, HubSpot, or Salesforce.
Interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain, fintech, or financial markets.
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
